When rockstar culinary duo Jennifer Jasinski and Beth Gruitch opened Euclid Hall Bar & Kitchen last month on Larimer Square, they took a sharp left turn from their other two restaurants located just a half block away. Jasinski is the chef of the operation, having made a name for herself by creating two of the best menus in Denver with Bistro Vendome and Rioja. At these two fine establishments, you’ll find fine dining in French and Mediterranean styles, respectively.

Tempranillo is a grape I’d love to see grown more in Colorado. It seems to have so much potential in the Grand Valley, yet it’s pretty darn hard to find a local bottle of it. Most popular in Spain, tempranillo is also very common throughout South America, which features some of the only high elevation regions that are truly comparable to what we have here in Colorado. So we should be drinking more of it. Let’s hope that is the case in the coming years.

For the past few months, I've worked closely with the editors of 5280 Magazine on a feature article on Ben Parsons, the winemaker and owner of Denver's Infinite Monkey Theorem winery. It appeared in the September issue of the magazine — it even made the cover as a secondary story teaser.
